Bio

Talofa, Kia Ora, Hello! I'm Rebecca. I've been teaching for 15 years and I arrived at my current school after teaching in Southern Hawkes Bay and Samoa. Character building in many ways and about as different climate and diversity wise as you can get! Currently, I'm a Y0/1 team leader working in an ILE that has been on a journey of integrating Structured Literacy and Play based learning. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Literacy Education- you might say education is in my blood! I believe in life long learning. I'm super passionate about following children's interests in play, whilst also providing meaningful, authentic opportunities to develop core curriculum skills.
